What is sperm freezing?
Sperm freezing allows people to freeze their sperm to use in the future
Sperm freezing is the process of collecting, cryopreserving and storing sperm. The sperm can be thawed and used in the future for procedures such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
What to expect
So you’re interested in freezing your sperm? Here’s what the whole process looks like.

1
Book your Sperm Freezing Consult online on a date that’s convenient for you and keep an eye out for your confirmation email and next steps. There will be a short intake form and consents to sign ahead of your appointment as well as a link to book a semen analysis.

Once you’ve booked you Sperm Freezing Consult, you’ll receive a link to book a semen analysis. It is not mandatory, but we recommend doing this test before your consult so that your fertility specialist can review the results and discuss your sperm quantity and quality with you during your session.

During this visit, you will meet with your fertility specialist to discuss the benefits of sperm freezing. We’ll review your background, medical history and semen analysis results (if completed). Together, we’ll go through any questions you may have and determine a personalized path forward for you.

You can produce your semen sample in one of our clinic collection rooms or at home, as long as you live close enough to the clinic. If you choose to produce your sample at home, you must keep the sample at body temperature and bring it to our andrology lab within 30-60 minutes.

Once your sample has been produced, it will be handed off to one of our andrologists in our in-house andrology lab, which is directly across from our collection rooms. There they will processed and frozen.
STEP

Once frozen, we will store your sperm safely for future use. This is accompanied by an annual storage fee.
