If you're actively trying or ready to make a plan, start with a Family Building Consult, a 30-minute virtual visit with a fertility specialist, covered by OHIP in Ontario or MSP in BC, where you'll talk through your situation and map next steps. If you just want a baseline read on your fertility before deciding anything, a Fertility Check ($250) gives you a snapshot in one visit. If you're focused on preserving fertility, start with an Egg Freezing Consult. And if you've already done IVF at another clinic, a Second Opinion Consult lets a specialist review your previous cycles. Still not sure? Book a Family Building Consult, it's the safe starting point, and your fertility specialist will guide you from there.

No. You can book your first consult directly online. We'll request your records and any previous test results from your existing providers so you don't have to start over.

Yes. Your first consult is covered by OHIP in Ontario and MSP in BC, regardless of referral status.

For patients without OHIP or MSP coverage (out-of-province, international, or otherwise), please contact us at hello@twigfertility.com and we'll share details on the consult fee and help you book.

Virtual by default. You'll meet your specialist over video from wherever feels comfortable. If you'd prefer to come into the clinic, just let us know when you book.

Yes, and we encourage it if it fits your situation. Many patients bring their partner or another support person.

No. The consult is informational. Your specialist will outline your options, but the decision is always yours. Some patients book multiple consults over time as they think through their next step.

A Fertility Check is a self-directed baseline snapshot. You choose it. It's $250 and includes hormone testing, an ultrasound or semen analysis, and a one-on-one review. A Fertility Testing & Assessment is a clinical assessment ordered by your specialist as part of a treatment plan.

Every journey is different and it depends on the path. A Fertility Check can be done in about two weeks. A full workup typically takes two to four weeks. An IVF cycle is about four to six weeks from treatment plan to retrieval.

You can book online right now, and most patients are seen within 3 days to 2 weeks. If you need to be seen sooner, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
