Erin Barnes

Erin has been with Twig since the very early days and has a particular interest in LGBTQ2S+ family building and a passion for creating an affirming care experience for queer folks. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Trent University and a Master of Nursing from Athabasca University. Erin’s clinical background includes primary care, sexual health and abortion care, and certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.

In her non-work time, Erin is a novice hockey player, an accomplished knitter, a voracious reader, and a certified professional dog trainer. She lives with her partner, two very snuggly cats, and a large dog who may or may not be the centre of her life.
