Gena Shepherd

Gena is a certified Genetic Counsellor at Twig with extensive experience across Canada and the U.S. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, she previously served as the genetics liaison for the ASRM, where she authored the 2021 guidelines for donor screening. Before joining Twig, Gena spent eight years with ORM Fertility specializing in PGT, embryo mosaicism, and third-party reproduction. She provides expert preconception counseling rooted in her background with rare diseases and complex family histories.

Now based in Saskatchewan, she and her husband own a brewery.
